Lewitt LCT 640 Ts is a revolutionary design that's set to change the industry micing techniques. Designed and engineered in Austria, LCT 640 Ts is a Studio Reference Stereo Microphone with two Large diaphragm at front and back. This Mic provides signal from the front and the back capsule separately. Since the signal of the front and back diaphragm is provided by independent circuitry, any kind of polar pattern can be realized dynamically - even after the recording. This is the first microphone of its kind to provide post production polar pattern flexibility. LCT 640 TS comes with a free of cost Polarizer plug-in. This helps you edit the polar patterns post production using a DAW.
LCT 640 TS features five polar patterns: omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, supercardioid and figure-8. The quality in single output mode is world-class, making Lewitt LCT 640 TS a great sounding studio multi-pattern condenser mic.
Lewitt has also taken care of an audio engineer's will to pair two LCT 640 TS together. Perfect Match technology takes care that all LCT 640 TS will always form a matched pair. So now with two LCT 640 Ts just imagine the micing possibilities and how they will change the way we record. You will have 4 simultaneous channel output, with flexible polar patter, making this mic a jaw dropper.
More added features like Clipping History, 4 low-cut and pre-attenuation settings round off the outstanding list of features that LCT 640 TS offers.

Performance and Recommendation
This microphone in a ground breaking invention. It will add a lot more to micing techniques that are currently in use. You can of course select a preset polar pattern if your microphone is set to Multi-pattern Mode. But wouldn’t it be awesome to create the different polar patterns with the LCT 640 TS using your mixing console or DAW? This you can easily do with a LCT 640 TS. All you need to do is record the front and back signal on two different tracks and set the levels and use the POLARIZER Plugin.
Now imagine the possibilities. What if you invert the phase on one channel? What if you take two LCT 640TS and use them in the conventional micing techniques like XY and Blumlein, AB stereo, ORTF, Near Coincident and many more. Imagine using it for different tracking purpose like Vocals, Instrument, Drums etc. This mic have all all it takes to mic it anywhere everywhere in your studio. Now what all you can imagine is the challenge as Lewitt has provided the revolutionary Mic to step up the game.
Quality wise the mic performance is great. It is definitely not coloring the source to much. It has a slight lift in the 4k region but without exaggerating heights. It sounds clean, modern and fresh. Frequency response is yet to be touched as Lewitt will soon release the product frequency graphs.
